Nom rare porté en Charente. Correspond au prénom Droctovée (sans doute nom germanique formé sur la racine drog = vaincre, combattre, peut-être avec le sens de "victorieux"). Saint Droctovée (VIe siècle), fonda avec son évêque et ancien abbé Germain l'abbaye Saint-Vincent à Paris (plus tard Saint-Germain-des-Prés).
